Mark Jakubauskas, the current program director of the Professional Science Masters (PSM) in Environmental Assessment at KU Edwards, has been promoted to the position of Director of Science Programs at KU Edwards Campus.  In addition to teaching and managing the PSM he will now lead the development of academic and professional education science programs for the Edwards Campus in collaboration with the leadership team and academic leadership.  Jakubauskas will also serve as the liaison to CLAS science programs and KU Medical Center departments as new science programs are established at the Edwards Campus.  He will be instrumental in facilitating efforts to align science programs with the mission and vision of the campus.

Jakubauskas has extensive leadership background in developing and directing a variety of programs, including the PSM and Certificate in Environmental Assessment and KU Science Masters Program.  Mark received his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas in 1994 and from there went to the Kansas Biological Survey with KU prior to joining the Edwards Campus full time in 2014.

Our program would like to congratulate Mark on this prestigious promotion!  He has done a remarkable job of promoting the PSM Program since his tenure in his current position.
