Students who are interested in a more scientific approach to the environment may pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.).
The B.S. degree is offered by all natural science areas except human biology, as well as economics and cognitive psychology. With fewer required non-science general education degree requirements, the B.S. permits more depth in the major. It requires additional work in supporting science areas. The interdisciplinary nature of the Environmental Studies Program ensures students a multitude of options. Explore our 10 Learning Pathways or view a sample 4-year B.S. in Environmental Studies plan.
The B.S. in Environmental Studies is also offered at the KU Edwards Campus in Overland Park, with flexible course formats available to accommodate the needs of non-traditional students, part-time students and working professionals.
